My Parihaka Peace Feather

 In early November It was the parihaka day. Because it was a special day we decided to create a feather or a news report about what happened on the parihaka day. I made the feather. For this task I had to write 4+ words onto the feather. It was very simple. I enjoyed thinking of all the words relating to peace. But I also found thinking of the words a bit difficult. The Language Of Bees And Other Insects Summary.

This week my reading group (The Ruby Rhinos) did a summarizing activity about how bees and other insects communicate. We summarized the text because we did a science experiment about how bees vibrate to collect the pollen from flowers.

I think my learning went amazing because I got to learn a lot about how insects communicate and I also got to more about bees and ants.

I think that just getting the task done on time was challenging because we only started summarizing the text on wednesday.

What is a fact you know about bees or other insects?

We read a book on a site called Epic. Epic is a free reading site for kids with educational books and comic books!

Today for reading we were reading a book called the jungle in my garden then we got sent off to summarise the book.

Some kids freak out when they see a spider or a scary insect others though are fascinated by them and love to catch them to study them up close.

You've probably seen a daddy long legs It kind of looks like a spider but is it one you may have also heard that it's the most venomous creature in the world but its fangs are too short to penetrate human skin But is any of that true?

Wheres Toki?

Toki was a little puppy and he ran off so Mitch Lelinia and another boy tried to find him in the bush then they herd a loud bark and they think he is stuck in a cave Lelinia ran forward to go into the cave but Mitch and the other boy said no Lelinia asked why then the other boy said the cave might be tapu so they said a prayer to Tane-mahuta then they herd a noise in the bushes and out came Toki.

St Patrick's day poster

 I was learning about St patrick's day because it was an reading activity in my class. I found making my St patrick's day poster difficult because you had to find all the facts. I enjoyed making my St patricks day poster because you could add pictures. Next time I will change the design because it I could make my St Patrick poster more intersting.

Night vision gogles

I was learning about night vision goggles because they are interesting. I found it difficult because you had to find all the shapes and put them in the right place. I enjoyed making night vision goggles because it was a challenge. next time I will change the design because I would like challenge.
